At Heart of Courage, we understand that every mother’s journey is unique. Our Family Advocacy Program provides personalized support to help mothers navigate life’s challenges and build a stable future for their families.

Who We Serve

Our advocates support mothers who are:
✔️ Navigating CPS Cases – Understanding the child welfare system, preparing for court, and working toward reunification.
✔️ Raising Children with Disabilities – Accessing resources, advocating for their child’s needs, and finding community support.
✔️ Overcoming Trauma & Addiction – Rebuilding stability, strengthening coping skills, and maintaining progress in their healing journey.

💜 One-on-One Mentorship – Personalized guidance and emotional support from a dedicated advocate.
⚖️ Court & CPS Support – Assistance in understanding legal processes, attending court or mediation, and advocating for reunification.

How a Family Advocate Can Help

When a mother partners with a Family Advocate, she gains access to a range of invaluable benefits:

How to Become a Family Advocate

The Role: As a Family Advocate, you will be the bridge between families and the support they need. Your primary responsibilities include:​

  • Assisting with the development of parenting and safety plans.

  • Connecting families with community resources.

  • Advocating for the family's needs during CPS cases.

  • Providing regular follow-ups to ensure families are progressing towards their goals.
